FlightControlRP is a comprehensive tool designed for tracking and calculating the Yards per Minute (YPM) or Meters per Minute (MPM) between two sets of geographic coordinates or specific race stations and lofts. Primarily developed for Pigeon Racing enthusiasts, this application utilizes GPS technology to establish new race stations and determine distances between pigeon lofts.
In addition to distance calculation capabilities, FlightControlRP integrates OpenWeatherMap data to provide users with detailed weather information for each race station. By leveraging this data, pigeon racers can assess current and forecasted weather conditions to make informed decisions regarding racing and training schedules.
One of the key features of FlightControlRP is the real-time tracking of pigeon race progress, which is visually represented on a map overlayed with current weather conditions. This functionality allows users to monitor their pigeons' performance and adjust strategies as necessary.
FlightControlRP also enables users to share arrival times and YPM data through Twitter, enhancing communication within the pigeon racing community. Moreover, the application automatically calculates overfly distances and offers the flexibility to adjust finish times dynamically.
Furthermore, FlightControlRP supports customizable latitude/longitude input formats, accommodating various preferences such as Degrees-Minutes-Seconds (DMS), GPS coordinates, or Decimal formats. This flexibility ensures seamless integration of location data like 52°12′17.0″S into the app.
